- Identify an Adult Day Services in your area. See the Members page or contact the Connecticut Association of Adult Day Services for a list of centers in your area. Call 203 678-4649.
- Contact the centers in your area. Arrange a visit and meet with the staff to determine if the center meets your needs: medical or social model, days and hours of operation, transportation, costs, eligibility requirements.
- Make a checklist for your visit that includes qualities such as: a warm and welcoming environment and staff, comfortable safe furniture, staff credentials, programs and services offered.
- If possible, talk to others who have used the center you are considering.
Take advantage of the opportunity to experience a trial day offered by many centers, to see how the participant might enjoy the day.
